I took these photos around the end of November last year. I had to get to Brunswick to attend a preselection session. It was fun, I also met a pretty cool Australian born German chick. Her name's Jane and this is what she wore:

She is practically the first person I asked if I could take a snapshot of her, well, quite a few. She was taking a smoke when I approached. It was quite an experience. I never thought a photo would turn into a conversation that lasted for 40 minutes. Her sense of style and vibe was what drew me closer...totally doesn't sound creepy but whatever. I know you want to admit that she looked cool.

I didn't get to stay to talked to her since we needed to catch the train on time.

My friend Natalie brought us to a really cute place for macaroons. The store is hidden in a small alley full of nice restaurants in the city. And yes, they were way too cute to be eaten!

I'm back home!..Well, for about three weeks now, but hey I've been busy and there so many errands to run considering Uni is about to start. Anyway, I miss home a lot right now and I lost my Iphone before I boarded the plane to fly back here.

ANYWAYS, I used a tripod for these photos and DID I MENTIONED I GOT NEW CAMERA LENSES! I swear they're like the best stalking devices ever. lol, jokes. I'm so please with the it though. Life's good, i'm a lucky girl.

Electric Blue paired with vibrant Orange is one of my favourite colour combination of all time! The thing I love about the top is its material and its details on the back, which gives a bit of edgy vibe to the whole outfit. While my tulle skirt is the only orange in my wardrobe, it also holds a special place in my heart! Plus, I got it for about $15. I love the rush adrenaline feeling you get when you snatch something at its cheapest price.
To all those who have been asking me to upload the photos from the Chinese New Years Celebration, I'm sorry for taking so long but there are so many of them! They're about three days worth of photos. It actually takes time to upload more than 100 photos onto facebook. I promise I'll upload them soon! But for now, here's some more visual delights from my Singapore trip:

I think it's pretty obvious that I've been eating like a fat as pig for the past 5 weeks. Whatever. Food are beautiful, especially when they're in your mouth and it melts into your tastebud. Whatever. I'll shut up now.

Image Diary: Singapore (part one)

If you have me as friend on facebook, you'd know that I've reach my hometown in Malaysia. First of all, I swear angry birds merchandise is everywhere in asia. Well, they're everywhere in Singapore and Malaysia anyway.
Singapore has treated me well! I loved Singapore, especially Orchad Street and Marina Bay Sands, they were fantastic. But it was nice to be at home at last.
These are some of the photos I took when I was there. I still have a lot more to show you guys in the next posts! I'm sorry for not updating for such a long time now but so many things have happened since I got back and it wasn't exactly appropriate for me to blog at such situations.
Anyway, here's some more photos we took before our flight from the Melbourne airport to Kuala Lumpur. Waiting up till 3 a.m. just to take a vehicle that crosses the international water wasn't exactly my thing. Well, at least I had Brenda with me.

Just an outfit I wore out to get something a week ago. It's a bit casual...and repetitive but I can't get over these red pants! The rest of the photos are a mixed of image diaries, from a white African using a pair of chopsticks with skill to way back when my parents went to visit us in Melbourne (which was taken more than a month ago?) My favourite one is the dandelion field. Well, it's not really a dandelion field, just a 5X10 meter backyard. I just had to take a photo of it closed up before mowing them. They grew back after 3 days of storm anyway. It was as if my time was wasted. rage guy.jpg

Anyway, I'm currently in Singapore right now. Apart of being incredibly uncomfortable with the fact that I'm not familiar with anything here and I'm tired from the jetlag, everything has been awesome! We went shopping today and I went nuts at Uniqlo! They have the best basics to match up all the menswear inspired outfit I can think of.. I've taken some shots for my image diary and some street styles as well, I can't wait to put it up but I probably won't until I get back to Malaysia. Right now, I need some sleep. Another year is coming, and everyone knows what's going to happen--- another new beginning, another new diet plan and Parties. Ask any girl about what they're going to wear to one and for sure they'd get very excited. There's reasons for their chirpy reaction, one: you get to look pretty, two: there's going to be free food. I mean who doesn't like food, unless you're Brenda. Lol, jokes.
However there are some people, like me for example, dread the moment of choosing an outfit for any occasion. I usually change my mind a lot when it comes to clothes. One minute I feel like wearing a red gown, the next I prefer to wear a suit instead. Therefore I always prepare at least 2 to 4 different outfits a week or two before a party or any other exciting events.
I stumbled upon a new online clothing store, The Iconic. The clothing they sell are mostly Australian based brand names and also provides excellent delivery service. I'm currently obsessed with sequin clothing, especially this Nookie Rock With You Sequin Dress can easily make you the centre of attraction at a party. Pair it with the right accessories and shoes, you would be ready to go.

The Flinders Keepers Dress is a dream! Its cut out and lace details sends an unique fairy-tale vibe. The straps on the Senso Santana Platforms reminds me the patterns on a butterfly, I think it is really cool. I am extremely obsessed with it! If you pair them with the dress, they balance each other out. However, if you're hopeless in platforms and heels, (especially when you have an serious ankle injury like me D: ) it is never wrong to wear flats. Pick something simple, but the colour needs to be able to match the lace detail in order to balace out your body proportion. Try not to wear any necklace, bracelets or rings. A pair of subtle pearl earrings would do since you don't want anything else to distract people from your face and the dress. Sometimes it's all about your dress and the proportion of your body, not how many expensive blings you got on you. If you wear a pairs of giant earrings, your neckline would appear to be shorter which makes the whole outfit look out of proportion along with your body. Also, avoid ankle booties because it can cut out your legs to appear to look shorter and bigger.

Little black dresses are timeless pieces. Ask any girl and everyone would agree with its subtle beauty. If you don't like it, it's either because you're a hipster or you're lying. It was love at first sight the moment I laid my eyes on the Dakota Ruffle Dress by Bluejuice! Its romantic frills at the bottom half is stunning. More than that, this kind of dresses allow young women to look fun yet sensible. Normally people matches it with a pair of black heels, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, but it would be nice to add some colour to the whole outfit by wearing a pair of red pumps. Again, Just like the Flinders Keepers Dress, you don't want to wear too much jewelries due to your proportion. The upper half of this dress allows your neckline to look longer and by making it look even slimmer, wearing a pair of long dropping earrings that matches your shoes always helps!

If you know me well, you would know that I am incredibly fond with menswear. Nothing is more chic that women who are confident in channeling menswear inspired outfits. I've never heard of Chanel until the day I watched Devil Wears Prada, Anne Hathaway looked absolutely stunning! Her character's wardrobe and outfits immediately became my inspiration in dressing up and falling in love with every clothing Coco Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld have ever designed.
Just because you're going to a dinner party, it doesn't necessary mean you have to wear a dress. Be unique! Be YOU! That is if you enjoy wearing suiting jackets instead of romantic one piece of course.

Pairing a pair of red jeans with ralph lauren shirts and suiting jackets/ blazers is my signature look. The red jeans brightens the whole outfit and also adds some fun to it. This outfit combination will forever be one of my favourites no matter what is on trend at the moment. Add some edge to your look by wearing some statement jewelries and a pair of heels that can lengthen the length of your legs instead of cutting them short like the way ankle boots do. This look is perfect for both casual and parties, it is also both comfortable and chic.

We joined our relatives' Christmas eve dinner the other night, I was going to say last night but i just realised it's already 12:05am. Look at the things I do for you guys! It's passed midnight and I'm still trying to work out this post. Therefore thy should leave thee some comments to tell me what a determined idiot I am. haha. The only reason I'm up so late is because I've been cleaning the house and packing for Singapore and Malaysia the whole day. Finally, I'm almost done! By the way, we had ice cream cake, it took one of the aunties about 3 days to finish the whole thing,everyone couldn't resist taking photos of it because it looked so pretty! It tasted as good as it looked, too.

Well, I'm off to bed now. I hope everyone had a great time with their love ones! :)

This is what I wore to my RMIT Fashion Design course interview, I look like such a dork in the photo but whatever, at least my legs are smaller than they appeared to be 5 months ago..I hope. The photos were taken about 3 weeks ago and I'm leaving for Singapore in 5 days! OH MY GOODNESS I AM SO EXCITED. The most exciting part is where I get to screw around at the airport just because we need to wait for our flight at 3.00am. Anyway, back to the outfit, this wasn't exactly the outfit I originally prepared, but I felt like wearing something else other than a skirt and bright colours while looking all girly with a pony-tail. There are days I wish I can be a guy since I'm such a big fan of menswear, and along with the fact that I rarely walk in heels since I find it hard to be. Brenda always gives me crap about how I walk in them, pfft, just because she's unbelievably good at it. They are so many times she suffers by walking long distance in them, yet she looks so effortless while the truth is she's screaming inside about that blister on her feet. lol, so proud P:

The rest are some photos I took when my uncle took us to a restaurant near brighton beach for lunch a few weeks back, the day before my RMIT Interview and my parents' and little sister's departure to go back to Malaysia. I was really sad about them leaving so I kind of screwed up my interview. The interviewers looked so uninterested. Oh well, it's in the past now.By the way, the food tasted as good as they looked.

After that he brought us to a dairy place for ice-cream, I got really excited because the last time I was there, I was at the age of 7 or 9, as lame as it sounds, I felt young again? But this time with a DSLR and the place looked a lot smaller than me. I could still remember getting over excited the first time of seeing a baby cone. And my mum got the baby cone when we were here the first time. Everything still looks exactly the same, even the garden behind the actual shop. And I swear it looked a lot more smaller now, but it's still quite pretty. It's a nice place for customers to eat their ice-cream and banana splits.

Forbidden Shoes

I love recycling clothes from my closet, those who has been following my blog for quite awhile now have probably seen some of these garments a few times. The Galaxy top were worn in this look, it was one of my favourite, my affection goes the same with this galaxy sheer top and tulle skirt. I'm so keeping them until the day I die, so my next generation would get the chance to own them when I'm all old and saggy(hopefully won't).
To add a bit of futuristic feel, I added the diva necklace, I don't know how to describe it though, it looks a bit egyptian but Mars-ian at the same time? Along with my all time favourite ring and bracelet. And to match it all up with my new platform booties that I never got to wear due to my still injured ankle (like 6 months after the actual incident), MAJOR SAD FACE.jpg. My mum got really pissed when she saw the shoes, I can't really blame her but I counldn't resist! They were like calling me the very moment I got them,"AMANDA YOU WILL LOOK GORGEOUS IN THOSE; YOU WILL BE ABLE TO MATCH IT WITH YOUR JEANS SO YOU DON'T LOOK TOO FAT LIKE YOU USUALLY DOES; YOU---" P: Anyway, I love them even if I won't be able to show them off on the streets.

I'm obsessed with this song and I bet my neighbours love it too, especially when I sing to it in the shower real loud.

The rest are just a few pictures of really fancy food we had at Ben's 18th birthday dinner, it was just me, Ben and his parents. It was pretty fun hanging out with them and the food were really nice!

These, are garlic bread.When they came out, I was overwhelmed with my mouth wide open. When Ben's mum asked me what's wrong, "Fan-fan-fan-cy" was all that come out of my mouth. I didn't dare to touch it.

EDIT: I've received my ATAR score for VCE! ATAR score is basically the score I have for my year 12 exam which determines my chance in getting into Uni, My score wasn't what I was aiming for but I'm really happy with it, I thank God for giving me motivation and my parents for the chance to study in Australia <3 It has been such a great experience.

I think this is the first time ever I succeed in taking a jumping photo! I think. Brenda helped me take my outfit shot last month? I just never had the time to post it I guess. The rest of the photos were taken when my parents and other younger sister came to visit. I miss them so much! Like how we're actually living together like a family and stuff.

I wore a $9 Portsman knit top that mum bought me, pairing it against my favourite mustard yellow skirt and adding the lace collar from romwe.

After getting a lecture about how I'm starting to dress up like Gaga, I insisted that I was only trying up punk and harujuku. Yes, I love Lady Gaga but it doesn't mean I'm going to follow her footstep. However, my parents got worried with that fact that I'm getting influenced because apparently I'm look more like a prostitute now. They expect me to just wear what Brenda wears. I think they want me to dress up like Brenda because mum kept telling me about how she has her genes and her taste is magnificent! haha. It doesn't matter to me any other way, I see my little sister as my inspiration when it comes to fashion since, well, since the day she fought with mum because she wanted to wear a prom dress to a casual lunch instead of a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. THE POINT IS, I'm going to try another different style, it doesn't matter to me any other way, my "rebellious" stage was fun (pun intended) anyway.

We had a photoshoot to overcome the (sad) fact that my parents left us for Malaysia the other day. And we took these outfit shots last Wednesday! It's been a week and I just realised we have less than 14 days till we're flying to Singapore to meet up with them (EXCITEMENT OVERLOAD). The rest are some photos I took when I went to the city for RMIT interview, Queen Victoria's Market and family outings. Just an outfit I wore to the VATE lecture about more than a month ago. I still can't believe I've finally graduated high school! 11 years ago, I literally woke up at 4am in the morning just so I can get to school early. I got excited because I thought we got to have individual seats like the way they in Lizzie Mcguire, but no, we were forced to sit in a group instead of having a chance to pretend to be some junior high student when we're only in the first grade. lol.

Anyway, Nat (NAY NAY) took my outfit shots for me while the rest were taken by myself.

Geez, I need some more colours in my wardrobe, it's getting depressing to see my closet dominated by 65% of black clothing.

We had a farewell lunch for our friend, Joel yesterday. He's going to Singapore for army. I paired my sister's lace top with my new Asos skirt and Blazer. I've been into the schoolgirl style these days. Ben took the photos for me by the way, he has gotten so much better! Thanks mannnnnn.

We went to a nearby park after stuffing ourselves with the yummiest yet sinnest dishes ever. I shouldn't have worn skirt because it wasn't exactly the appropriate attire to go on the swing or climb onto a monkey bar.

Wearing a red gown by Garfunkle, acting like a total idiot in the garden.

This is like the first post I've done for months! Well, just over a month, whatever, it felt like forever. So I've graduated from high school. It feels so weird not having the routine of waking up and going to school, coming back from home and do homework. I am almost done with my exams...while everyone else brags about their freedom and strategy in staying in bed for another 2 months just watching seasons of the office.

grumble, grumble.

Anyway, most of you have probably seen the photos on facebook but I felt like it was my job to give you another opportunity to stalk me more.

I scored this Alexander Mcqueen Clutch Replica on ebay and it arrived on the day I needed to use it at my graduation night. Talk about good timing! Oh, and everyone looked amazing, it was really fun as well.

I'm going to miss everything since it has been such a great experience to study in a different country and meeting all these amazing people. I'm going post some more outfit posts so stay tuned my baby dolls :)

We've never posted any of these photos online before. I thought it's a waste so there you go, I hope you guys would like them! :) Anyway, I've been staying at home to rest since I've been sick. Watching Lizzie McGuire while waiting for the meds to work so I can fall asleep throughout the day. The best show ever. I felt like I was 9 again. And I have also gotten so much better! Thank God (literally).

Oh, and our mum's arriving in Melbourne tomorrow! We're so excited! The last time we saw her it was about 5 to 6 months ago. Anyway, i hope everyone will have a good weekend!

I've been studying a lot lately, I mean there's only 22 days left until my exam! (which, the results will determine my chance in getting into University) I just want to finish everything to do with high school already! Speaking of studying like I never did before, this is an outfit I wore to the library a week ago. I literally only had 5 minutes to prepare for everything just to catch the bus. I wore the dress and the shirt for the very fist time, they were cheap and very comfy, too! & I noticed how I've been wearing a lot of red lately. I don't know, I need more colours in my closet.

Other than pushing myself into studying lately, I've been exercising a lot too, only to have fallen sick today. Not that I'm too tired or anything like that, I just eat a lot of the sinnest food when I'm actually supposed to work hard to lose weight. AND I just found out that what I have been doing for the past 3 years (of trying to lose weight and get skinnier legs) were all wrong! I've been doing tones of intense cardio and legs exercises, not realising I'm actually bulking my thighs and my legs instead of losing fat. This is rather sad, but whatever, I'll start over!

Have I ever told you that I'm extremely bad at angles and having my photos taken for this blog?

New Shoes & Glee and other whatnots.

Wore a hand-me-down Ralph Lauren top which was actually mum's and paired it with Brenda's necklace which only cost us $5. The orange volume skirt was from asos and I got it when it was on sale ($12!!!!!!!!).

We are totally obsessed with the skirt, so much that we were fighting for it at one point? Not that we always fight, but whenever we do, it's always has something to do with clothes. Haha.

Lately, I've been wanting to explore a much different style. As an accessories junkie, I've been minimising my necklaces to only one and rings to none! Ever since I've been thinking about what my mum told me about how "less is more". These photos were taken ages ago, well, last Sunday, but still, it feels like ages since the last time we had our fun taking outfit shots while the strangers stare as they walk pass. I can't wait for my year 12 exam to finish, so I can focus on things that are more interesting than time series and accounting. Speaking of failing oriented-culture-based-expectations in life, DID EVERYONE WATCH GLEE'S ASIAN F EPISODE LAST NIGHT?! IT WAS FLIPPING AMAZING. I got ~~really~~ extremely excited to finally see an episode of Mike with more than 4 sentences. And the storyline, your passion not being approved by your culture, hot asian mum, fabulous performances, BRITTANY DANCING AND SINGING GIRLS BY BEYONCE, seeing SUE DANCING FOR LIKE 2 SECONDS, etc, etc.

It was just a quiet scene but loud at the same time. It was just, an absolutely emotional scene between Mike and his mum. As normal as it sounds, I teared up. I wish my mum would do the same when I told her I wanted to become a fashion design and let me use the sewing machine for once. Instead of telling me how it is a waste of time and the industry has China to do all the large production on cheap clothing with cheap material fabrics. She means well, though. There are just so many new talents who are amazing at what they do but yet so many of them have failed because they're lack of financial knowledge and skills. Gosh, I'm starting to sound like my mum.

Anyway, my new babies came into the mail last week! It's like I'm too desperate to be slightly taller since I am not allowed to wear heels for another 3 months. (I mean, finding out your younger sister growing another 3 centimeters taller than you is also kind of sad.) I didn't really get to take a more detailed photos on them but I'll do that the next time. But at the mean time....

Let's be honest here, they're pretty awesome.

I tried making it look like it's three of me in one photo, which I totally failed at.

A white sheer top from the charity shop, which is unbelievably gorgeous! Most of all, it only cost me $1. My mum didn't believe me when I told her. Ha!

The photos were taken from the day I went to one of my friend's house for Korean Barbecue.

Brenda and I ate a lot of beef, it was really yummy! THE best, hundreds of calories I had! haha.

Then we went to my friend's room, Brenda and the others started putting on makeup and their camwhore session while I buried myself in my study.

So yeah, I looked half asleep. GAHHHH.

Another outfit inspired by Nana. We did this photoshoot fun time (God, that sounds cheesy) 3 days ago. It's been ages since the last time I wore heels, I was scarred for life to find out that I couldn't run nor do aerobics for months after spraining my ankle. For the love of heels and feeling slightly taller.

I wore a sheer top from kmart, my favourite $3 skirt from the thrift store, pairing the outfit with random jewelries(spelling? I can never get it right.), some are gifts that I received when I was in primary, the cross necklace was originally an earring but I made it into a necklace instead while some of them were from my mama. I literally call her mama, not in a posh-french-european accent but merely in Chinese. Anyway, that's not the point!

The Prada backpack is another great find at the thrift store, it only cost me $3. I'm not sure if it's legit but I often lie to myself that it is.....whatever it still feels nice.

I also wore the second hand studded jacket, which I customised further with random studs and a cross. Risking of getting labeled as an attention whore once again, I wore it to my last free dress day at school.

My sister, Brenda wore my bardot sheer top, paired with a pair of floral shorts from chicwish.com, my loafers that mama got me, $1 John Lennon glasses and $1 thrifted Blazer. The colourful blazer was one of our proudest thrift find! It also suits Brenda's cheerful personality perfectly. Ever since she was a toddler, Brenda was and is still known as the demanding girl when it comes to dressing up. When she was 4, she was literally ~~crying~~ screaming on the top of her lungs just so mum would let her wear a pink tutu prom dress instead of the cartoon t shirt and baggy jeans that she picked for her. She stands up for herself most of the time and doesn't give a thing about what people think of her. Also an inspiration to me and others, she's one of the most fashionable person in the family ever since she was the kid wearing crayons as her makeup just because mum wouldn't let us use hers.

As for me, I've never started exploring my identity through clothing only until the start of this year. Some of you have known about my blog long enough only to have read about my rants on some of my favourite collections and other whatnots. So I started dressing up by copying Brenda, only finding myself suffering through her and mum's own perceptions of what looks good and what doesn't. Don't get me wrong, I love colours, floral prints and dresses. But ever since my first glance at the only punk themed store that resides at one of the mall in my home town(it's a pretty small town), I've always wonder how it would feel like to be in leather jackets and dark gigantic creepers, how I wanted to wear dark make up but would only get my parents freaked out about my perception on "beauty". I was 11 when I got exposed to rock music. Being totally obsessed with Avril Lavigne, wanting to dress up like her and banging my head whenever there's karaoke family nights got peers and family rolling their eyes at me. It was a fun period of puberty.

I saw the movie about 3 years ago without knowing that there's a manga, which I only read last year. I was so obsessed that people started rolling their eyes again (not surprised at all). Nana is constantly my inspiration in my sense of style and perception of the "cool and beautiful". Obviously, there's no doubt that we do not share the same personality nor do I seem as cool and grunge as her, I couldn't help but wanting to be part of the story of a society of punk bands. As a feminist, Nana is my ideal woman in both individuality and independence.

*I will talk about more on Nana and my other inspirations on the next post, there are just way too much that I want to write about and this post just doesn't seem to fit. ~~Plus, I need to start working out soon.~~

I went to DFO to try to find my Valedictory dress on Sunday but I only found myself interested in the casual ones. LIKE THIS CUE DRESS!...which I could not afford...whatever.

Oh by the way, I forgot to mention that I cut my hair after months of pretending to be an Asian Rapunzel, it doesn't look any much different but it felt way too light, I was really sad but then I got over it since it's super smooth and feels amazing now, instead of dried straws.

2NE1 - Lonely

Sheer Top: Romwe.com, got it when it went on sale, I have been looking at it for months! But I am too cheap to pay for $39 for a top, i got it for about $15-ish instead :) and it is such an Amanda's Top. You know, like that weird oriental lady who always wears black and old people clothes she bought from the opshop with her John Lennon Glasses. It is just so delicately cool. (I can't find another word other than 'cool') but it's a pity because the pictures so not do it any justice!

Anyway, I got the sunglasses/ reading glasses case/ box /container/ cutest thing ever from the opshop (40 CENTS!). I swear it feels like it is made out of silk that smells like an old lady from World War II but it is by far one of the best finds I got from the charity shop!

Despite of it being spring, I find myself still remain monochrome when all the shops are stocked up with multiple color treasure. It's like whenever I walk out of my room full on black with a punk/ indie vibe as my sister walks out from her room, looking like as if a rose plant just gave birth to her. And we would always be like "OMG THIS IS JUST LIKE NANA!"

Hey gaizzzz, I'm back! I've been busy with school work lately, everything has been... stressful. Anyway, I thought it'd be nice if I talk about my outfit and rant a little today while I worry about not using vocabulary or having my punctuation wrong and making a typo, just like how I always worry too much about my slightly fob-ish accent when I pronounce the word three. It feels weird doing a post just having tons of photos with no editorial. So bear with me.

I call this look "My bra is showing, sue me" for the fact that some people has been pressuring my parents about spoiling their own children too much. And there's other comments like how I am a show-off because I am sharing my passion online. But then again, who are you to judge? My parents are not perfect, but they are by far, the best parents I , or anyone for that matter, could ever had. I do enjoy being showered with overloaded love and care but that doesn't mean I do not appreciate being blessed as one of the luckiest girls in the world. Also, just because God has gifted me with a creative mind, that doesn't mean I'm wasting my time doing an fashion blog as my hobby. It's just like how my boyfriend described it as him playing C.O.D.

Being born in the orient culture can be so frustrating. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy being an Asian, being able to speak Chinese and eat rice with a chopstick makes me feel pretty superior. Anyway, that's not the point.

I could already imagine my mum rushing to the phone just to dial an oversea phone call, so she can tell me how embarrassing it is for her to have a daughter who shows her bra by wearing a see-through galaxy shirt (which is also a very awesome top by the way!) on cyberspace. Well, sorry mum (& dad).

The outfit is a whole rebellious side of me for my culture. It sounds pathetic but I've been dreaming about dressing up like Cherrie Currie and this vegetarian chick I've been stalking on facebook. They're a group of free spirit who don't give a shit about what other people think and look cool without even making an effort.

Anyway, the galaxy shirt felt deliciously fantastic against my skin as I wore it out for lunch today. Oh and I received the "Bamboo" style jade bracelet from Julian for this ad I did for him. It's like a perfect Ling Ling's bracelet and it looks more like skeletons parts joined together which is totally wicked and I was so happy when it arrived in my mailbox! Thanks Julian, it's perfect! Well, the jacket is a hand me down from my cousin and it has been sitting around my closet for over 2 years, so I thought about studding it and it looks so cool now! It took me about 30 minutes and did I mentioned to you how cool it look? Well, it looks really cool. It does. IT DOES.

I need to like stop writing now, since I have Chinese school tomorrow. Chinese school on a Sunday D:

Remember how I went to Monash uni open day? Well, as we were wandering around the commerce area, there was this guy, Julian, who was selling really beautiful stones and jade bracelets and other accessories. I personally think jades are absolutely gorgeous and have no idea why most of the people in my generation think they're old and passé. Imagine wearing one of those turquoise color jade bangles during spring and summer with your crochet top matched with a bright red tulle volume skirt! Or just simply wear them for health benefits!

Our school had a Jeans day/ Free dress day yesterday. I got told off to change my shorts into long jeans because it was inappropriate. Thank God I brought it just in case. I felt uncomfortable wearing them, I'm not a big fan of Long denim jeans but I had to cause I looked like a massive slut. LOL JK
Anyway, Melbourne has the weirdest weather ever. It was really hot and sunny in the morning but then it started raining and went all forks and gloomy when school ended. One of my necklace broke when I was on my way to meeting my best friend Tom at the bus stop. He was so nice to help me take photos already, he even fixed my necklace!

There's been people asking me about my blog lately, and what I do and mostly why.
I guess I've never started what I started with an explanation. There's not much to explain really. Fashion has always been my passion as most of you know and I created this blog a year and a half ago. Posting my opinions and doing short articles(could I even call them that?) on fashion shows and designers. Then I stopped halfway, thinking that I was just wasting my time when everyone has style.com and fashion magazines for that.

Despite of my love for Fashion, I've never dressed up the way I always wanted to until the day I saw my sister again after 6 months of not having my family with me. It was the time around my 17th birthday. My sister is "well-known" for her fearless fashion sense in our family, everything she wears describe who she is, and that somehow that attracted me. It's also (very often) a type of attraction that tells myself that I'm not good enough and I would never have the chance to get into an industry that requires someone like her.
I will never be her.
Then I became envious, which I had to stop because my behaviour started affecting my relationship with not just my 16 year old sis but also everyone else.
So I decided to have a fresh start. I'm doing what I never had the guts to do before, which is fashion blogging that shows the whole world of what I wear in a daily basis and expressing myself through my clothes and hopefully I can find myself through doing this as well.
Also, I can finally say this to myself:

This is what I wore to Chinese School today, the weather was good. It was sunny, the perfect opportunity for me to wear the sunnies that arrived a few days ago :D By the way, I've been buying a lot of stuff from the charity shop lately, and the nice aunties who work there even gave me discounts since I go there so often!

I got my outfit inspiration from the photos that my dad took with his brothers when they were in universities and the ones when he was studying in Europe. As a fan of the 60s' and 70s', I've always wanted to own a pair of sunglasses with circular lenses. And It was really amusing for me that some people think I look like a pervy asian dude with them. CHUCKLE CHUCKLE CHUCKLE.

Our school had an activity day yesterday, my sister went to the snow when my year needed to walk all the way to the mall from school just to play bowling and watch a movie.

We got to pick to watch either Kung Fu Panda 2 or Transformers, I picked KF2.

THE BABY PO WAS SO ADORABLE.

and that's the only part that got me excited.

I also went to Grill'd with a couple of friends for lunch, the burger was huge! I swear I was full for the rest of the day.

My outfit was an inspiration from one of my all-time favourite movies and anime mangas, NANA. I adore both Hachi's vintage girly side and Nana's fearless punk outfits. My style is kinda in between both anyway. I bought the dress for $3 in an charity shop a few weeks back. The old lady at the charity shop insisted on me to try it on when she was telling me how cool she thinks Gaga is. I got all excited (of course) and we enjoy the 3 minutes of our lives, talking about how cool the shoes she wore to the CFDA. Anyway, I gotta go.

I've been checking out this Christopher Kane Galaxy collection for the past 3 weeks! Its vibrant sense of colours are just so dreamy. They are just so timeless! Well, I will definitely wear each of them every single day, forever. Even when I turn into a 90 years old who lives with her dogs. I'm a dog person, at least they don't scare you in the dark and they also look good in ponchos. Anyway, it will be...like, a dream come true to even own one of them, I could wear them to work, to parties, to the mall, to a ball, to my valedictory dinner, to my wedding, I don't know, I ~~would~~ SHALL WEAR IT ALL THE TIME! So I'm taking a break from studying, I'm starting to get another headache. Anyway, I wasn't going to post this look since I planned another one yesterday which I also wore to my friend's 18th. I also had to go over to Ben's place so one of our friends can take us there. Shana's house is really far from where we all live, it felt like going to the airport. But I had such a great night, it was so much fun!

Anyway, I thought it would be nice if Ben could take some photos for me. But they all turned out pretty shit. It was a waste since the lightning and area were super nice at his suburb! And I got really sad cause I was so excited that it took me about an hour and a half to prepare and all! But the funny part was that it was so awkward when some people walked and drove passed us would stare.

Well, I still love you Ben, even though you're a shit photographer :)

P.S.: I broke the button of these pants when I got super overweight last year and then the zipper broke when I lost the fat to be able to fit into them again. GRUMBLE. GRUMBLE. GRUMBLE. I had to use photoshop to remove the view/appearance/hilarious image of the fly, opened, when I was taking the photo and I didn't noticed. LOLS

1. My boyfriend and a few of my cousins came over to my place for a sleep over the other night, it was really fun! Everyone squeezed in my room. We had pizza that night, I felt fat so I started doing exercise in front of them. Apparently, it's weird to do aerobics out of a DVD. I also took a photo of a part of my sister's closet. She has like an obsession with bows just like how I'm totally obsessed about rings.

2. We also went to one of my cousin's Beatrice's birthday the other night, there were so many delicious food! Christine made these gorgeous cupcakes by herself, they were so pretty that I didn't dare to eat them. One of my aunties also made my hometown dish, I haven't had it in ages, I miss home.

3. My auntie Philomena just found out from the doctor that she got cancer, can everyone please pray for her to get better? Thanks!

I wore a chiffon top from Bardot, a pair of Vintage Heels from Gmarket.com and the skirt is something I had my eyes on the moment I saw it in a Charity Shop and I felt very lucky because I was searching for something like this on the internet the day before :) . The Belt is vintage. I also bought the vintage satchel from Gmarket.com, it is so nice! I've been searching for one for the past few months. I originally wanted a red or black one but they didn't have those.

My sister woke up at 6am this morning just to catch a train to the city to watch Harry Potter with her friends, I wanted to go but I haven't even seen the last two ones...so I locked myself at home taking pictures of myself with a camera that sat on a pile of books that were arranged according to the height I want on a chair.

This is so emotional cause I could still remember the first time I watch Harry Potter, it was when I was 8! I never read the books before since I couldn't afford any of them as a child and when I grew up I just couldn't be bothered to get to know the rest of the plot by turning pages. I wore a Miss Shop floral jumper (which I share with my sister), Cotton On skirt, a vintage brown belt my mum handed down to me, vintage and forever new rings.

It's the school holidays, we've been watching Pretty Little Liars for the past 3 days. It is just so addictive!

Other than the fact that everyone looks freakishly gorgeous in the show, the show actually have a plot that drags on, in a good way. A really interesting way.

Aria is my favourite character 'cause she has all that geeky-beautiful-and-goth look. And Brenda likes Hanna because, well, she's blonde.

Ben's parents took us out for dinner and I had so much fun last night! The food was really good.

Anyway, some of you know that I started this fashion blog like a year ago. It started like how my other hobbies did. Then I stopped (just like the other hobbies..), simply because I didn't really have anyone close to help me with the photos. I guess this could be another start?

I have Business Management exam tomorrow and spent about 30 minutes on msn, arguing with Joel Wu about poverty and economics. He thinks that only rich people are to blame for the fragile economic situation. LOL WTF. It's not their fault just because they're more powerful. Middle-class people should stop spending and borrowing money on shit and use their credit card like they have all the money in the world. It's even more pathetic when they whine about how poor they are and how the billionaires ruined everything. A bunch of idiots.

It's actually my mum's garden and my second favorite place in the world, if it wasn't for the mosquitoes. I took heaps of pictures of it but you could only experience it in real life to understand the love I usually feel whenever i waste my time around there. On the other hand, you might never feel it at all cause you don't see my mum spending her time on her little children as much as I do. We sort of gave the plants names, well, only I do that. And my photos didnt do the garden's space any justice either. they're so beautiful though.

I sure miss home.

It's spring 2011, depressing depressing spring. Black dominated everything. Whatever happened to colours and flower? Is there even any flower that's black? This season doesn't intrigue me. But then again, who cares about my opinion.

Except for this dress. If I could, I guess I'll wear it to the mall and look like some emo chick and getting all the attention with people pointing at me while they whisper into each others' ears. Or I could wear it to one of the free dress school day and the school will have to give me a detention for showing my shoulders. It'll be cool if I get to wear it to visit my grandpa. I bet he'll love it even though we don't talk but I guess he'll be happy to see me.

The dress itself look so simple. Yet it's gets me go all excited because I've dreamt about it once when I was 12. I drew it down on my diary in my math class while my teacher wasn't looking. The ropes-and-jellyfish-like bottom and the cutting of the dress speak for themselves. It doesn't make a sound yet it is SO loud. The way it imprint in your brain. As if you're 12 again. Well, I feel 12 at least. This is weird but what can I say? I guess dreams do come true.

Going back home made me feel like the happiest girl in the world. It was bliss. But something was missing though, other than the fact that i only got to stay for 10 days but it was worth it anyway.

Air Asia was alright. And i found my first tiny sketchbook, which was a relief cause i can't imagine surviving an 8 hours flight journey without any entertainment. Well, I have my ipod and my laptop, but I saved it for the 3 hours i had to wait for my next flight. KLIA sucks. Oh, not the actual KLIA btw, it's the ancient one. People are all so rude and dirty! I saw just about 80 percent of peopl pickign their nose and stuff and then some of them either use the same un-wiped hand to push the entrance or touch the table or even some of them ate their bugger.....how...charming.

There are a lot of time I wish I'm Singaporean. I'm sorry for not being patriotic enough. Not that I don't want to, I just can't.

Plus, most of the workers were so lazy:

Me:"Excuse me, I'm just wondering if I need to fill the form?"

"Just get it from THAT counter."

Since I had to wait for another 3 hours in the airport, I bought myself dinner which I got ripped off of.

I felt mean so I walked away....

I sat on the floor outside of starbucks and watched the purposal on my laptop.
I was thinking about gettting a Latte, but Latte makes you fat and look like some flabby hot air balloon, so i skipped it.

And my flight delayed for about an hour and a half.

But I'm having an extremely great time with my family here. I wish I can stay with them forever.

It's really nice to see them again.

Hey everyone! It's the holidays! (Finally)

Not that I hate going to school, I love it, I just need a break. School is like another home for me since there's so many cool people there. And I'm sure going to miss them.

Anyway, I'm taking a flight back home next monday and my mum wont let me take my sketch book with me. There will be no tv and i will have to pay for the food during the 8 hours flight...it shall be a rather special experience of pins and needles.lol

BUT WHAT CAN I DO WHEN I CANT DRAW ON THE PLAN AND THERE WONT BE ANY TV?!

D: A tv show for 30 bucks? not gonna happen.

OH, and this is another sketch I did in my sketch book. Another character I made up and I call her Anna.

I didn't realised people actually read my blog. Or some people(probably one or two of them). Anyway, I haven't been doing this for very long since I've been busy with my life and yes, I actually do have one.

I have a dream, of becoming like Mcqueen. People like uncle Karl and Gaultier. People like Gaga even. I mean who wouldn't. It's nice to have a goal in life, a dream for you to worth living for, a reason for you to get up every morning. Something to have faith in. Despite of the fact that you're stressing out because you just want it to come true so bad. Support is essential at this stage. Negative comments and opinions sound like nothing but indistinct voices for you. And then you'll ask them, "I know it's hard and risky but why can't I be one of them?" Proper answers won't be given but a bunch of suggestions and more comments will be mentioned. "Oh, why don't you do interior." "You'll die out of starvation." "You're too innocent." "what a ridiculous dream, how pathetic." "If you want to becoming a fashion designer, just come back to malaysia and be a poor tailor for the rest of your life."

I'm not going to say that I don't care about these remarks. They don't hurt me, not at all. What is so sad is that people can't have faith in life, in chances. Especially when they're the people you thought you will getting their supports from. Yes, I know they're worried but still.

Now, I feel guilty for some reason...

Anyway, I'm thinking about taking a textile class no matter what my mum says about it. At least my dad approves. This is so exciting! I can't wait till the time i can make my own clothes and dresses like the way Jenny from Gossip Girl does. And my friend Amanda might take it as well ;D

My family and I went house shopping last year, but we decided not to rush since I'm still under 18 and need guardian supervision. So We went to so many display houses...some of them were GORGEOUS but a bit too small. We went to one of this suburban houses and they have the cutest furniture. It belonged to a married couple and one of them is an asian and the other white. naw.

These rooms were their daughters' but now they're for their grandchildren. I've always wanted my bedroom this girly when i was little.

Their grandma has really good taste I reckon ;)

Edit: If you are the owner of the house and you're offended by the photos due your privacy and all please tell me. I thought the house was one of those display homes. LOL and the funny thing was i was taking photos like a tourist the whole time, thinking that the company took a lot of effort into decorating the house to make it seem so realistic as if there's actually people living in there, until that is i asked my parents about it and they say people do live in there.

and i wont disagree if anyone's going to call me an idiot.

I waited for you to open up your boutique in chadstone since last november and my patience has paid off, i think. Since it looks nothing i had expected...it is better than what I have expected. It could've been one of the best days of my life if i got to see *and touch* THOSE black silky heels with the white *and weird (and weird is nice)* flower prints, but you know what? Walking into that boutique was like walking into a gigantic closet in a castle WHICH does not apply i'm girly but i just want to become rich and have a castle of my own WITH a closet that is so shinny that my eyes actually kinda hurt.
